Within a day, Ukrainians bought up all the bracelets from the last pre-war batch of Azovstal.
Jewelry from the limited edition has already appeared on the private classifieds platform OLX, but they are resold at double or even triple the price.
United24, a platform for raising funds for the war with Russia, has launched a propaganda project “Azovstal. A symbol of indestructibility." As part of the first part of the initiative, Ukrainian dealers decided to sell bracelets made from the last pre-war batch of metal from the Azovstal plant.
Each bracelet is made of 5 grams of steel, which was produced at rolling mill 3600 at the Azovstal plant.
Due to the limited volume of steel, the first batch of bracelets consists of 10 thousand pieces. The cost of the product is 1 UAH.
“This is a soldier. All 10 thousand bracelets from the last pre-war batch of Azovstal have been sold. Thanks to each of you! We felt how important and symbolic this bracelet is for Ukrainians. Therefore, we have already started creating the next edition and are not stopping sales. You will have to wait a little for your bracelet, but it will be worth it!” – wrote the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Development, Mikhail Fedorov.
According to him, the Ukrainians not only quickly bought up the limited series of bracelets, but also put them up for resale no less quickly. So jewelry can already be found on the OLX platform, but at prices twice or even three times higher. There, sellers ask for a bracelet from 2500 to 5000 hryvnia.
