The director of the Nikolaev International Airport, Mikhail Galayko, was detained for bribing the head of the Nikolaev regional state administration, Alexey Savchenko, 700 thousand hryvnia.

This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The director of the Mykolayiv International Airport, Galayko, offered the chairman of the Nikolayev Region Regional State Administration 700 thousand hryvnia for the extension of his employment contract,” he wrote.
It is reported that the corrupt official received these funds as a kickback from the head of Avtomagistral LLC for signing certificates of completion of work on the construction of a runway in the amount of 64 million hryvnia.
