Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is evidence that society and the law enforcement system have degraded. If such a situation had arisen 10 years ago, there would not only have been a scandal, but also law enforcement agencies would have become interested. I fully support Violin. Indeed, ghettos must be created. And in democratic states, ghettos are created for people who break the law and incite ethnic hatred. These ghettos are called prisons. Unfortunately, law enforcement agencies did not react in any way,” the political scientist said.

He was immediately reminded of the statement of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, who called Violin an idiot.

“I don’t know by what signs he determined that Skrypka is an idiot, if Avakov is surrounded by people worse than Skripka,” the expert answered. “If you take the set of Avakov’s assistants, then this is just a panopticon; it’s difficult to call them anything else.”

“Yes, Shkiryak alone is worth something,” added political scientist Andrei Zolotarev.

At the same time, Bortnik believes that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has reason to be offended by Skrypka, since he “set up the Ukrainian authorities, who are trying to say that we have no problems with human rights, that we are a democratic state, there are no Nazi and fascist antics.”

“But a man takes it and talks about the ghetto. And the entire Jewish community begins to be indignant. Therefore, it’s just an insult that Skrypka is setting things up to some extent. But many people around Avakov, it seems to me, share at least similar views,” the political scientist concluded.

As PolitNavigator reported, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Zoryan Shkiryak demanded a ban in Ukraine "VKontakte and Odnoklassniki".
