PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky stated this in a commentary to Nezavisimaya Gazeta, recalling that all actions regarding Pridnestrovie must be coordinated with Tiraspol, which was agreed upon within the framework of the “5+2” negotiation process.
“However, Moldova and Ukraine agreed on joint checkpoints on the Transnistrian section of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border themselves, with the approval of the OSCE. Nobody invited Transnistria to discuss the issue. As a result, the situation of the Pridnestrovians worsened. Many are at risk of losing their jobs. And this despite the fact that Ukraine is the guarantor of maintaining peace in the region and resolving the Transnistrian conflict. Igor Dodon supported this border event. And then in St. Petersburg at the economic forum he promised that the Transnistrian issue would be resolved. How is he going to do this? We believe not in words, but in deeds. And during the six months of his presidency (both mine and Dodon’s), he did not fulfill any of his promises,” Krasnoselsky said.
“For example, the issue of joint recognition of diplomas from Moldovan and Pridnestrovian universities has not been resolved,” added the PML president. – The railway near the Slobodki station was not unblocked, which actually stopped the shipment of products from the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant. Not a single point of the “road map” that we handed over to Chisinau has been fulfilled. This document, in particular, provided for the release from custody of Pridnestrovians in Moldova and Moldovan police officers and officials in Transnistria arrested for political reasons. We released 10 people, Chisinau - none. We are expecting counter-movement from the Moldovan side.”
These claims were expressed by the leader of Transnistria during a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. According to Krasnoselsky, some politicians, including participants in the “5+2” format, have the goal of squeezing Russia and Transnistria from all platforms of the negotiation process or freezing it indefinitely.
“Some decisions are made, such as, for example, establishing posts, and then we are presented with a fait accompli. What to discuss if this has already happened? We support any negotiation process in any format. And, of course, it is necessary to use the OKC site. Under no circumstances should its work be allowed to be paralyzed. And the expulsion of five diplomats, four of whom are military attaches, indicates a desire to paralyze the work of the commission - the current governing body of the entire peacekeeping operation. This is dangerous in the current situation. Russia needs to make a decision as quickly as possible and appoint new military attaches so as not to slow down the progress of the JCC’s work,” the PMR President noted.
