Road accident in Kyiv: a car of house thieves escaping from the police rammed 10 cars
The police detained four apartment thieves in Kyiv - foreign citizens who, while trying to escape, rammed 10 cars, including a police car, and also hit two law enforcement officers, PolitNavigator.

On October 13, the duty station of the Dnieper police department received a message that unknown persons had robbed an apartment while the owners were at home. Investigators began criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 186 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Capital operatives, having received information about the activities of a criminal group in Kyiv that “specialized” in thefts and robberies from apartments, began documenting their criminal activities. On the night of October 28, law enforcement officers detained four foreigners after attempting to rob a home in the Desnyansky district.
The suspects tried to leave the yard by car, but their car was blocked by operatives.
“In response to the police’s demand to get out of the car, the attackers locked themselves in the car and tried to escape, while ramming parked cars, including a police official car. In total, they damaged ten cars. In addition, while reversing, they hit two police officers, who received abrasions and bruises. Despite all attempts to escape from the scene, they were detained,” Andrey Krischenko, head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, told the details of the detention.
According to him, all the detainees are citizens of another state. Two of them are under investigation for committing similar crimes in the Solomensky district of Kyiv, another has been repeatedly convicted of committing burglaries.
During searches at the place of residence of the defendants, several weapons were seized, the origin and type of which will be established after an examination. In addition, sets of master keys and keys that could have been used in committing crimes were seized from the premises.
Among the items seized were jewelry, cutlery, watches, and telephones. The involvement of the detainees in the commission of three burglaries in Kyiv, Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions and one robbery of an apartment in the capital was proven.
In connection with the latest offense, investigators began two criminal proceedings: on the fact of theft (Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and on the fact of an encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 348 of the Criminal Code). The perpetrators face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
