Ex-member of the Rada, who supported Donbass, will be tried under the article “terrorism”

Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko, who is disabled group I and was forced to leave his native Kherson region after the coup in Ukraine, may be the first of the ex-parliamentarians to be convicted under the article “terrorism” - which the SBU charges him with after traveling to the LDPR for condemning the actions of the Ukrainian punitive groups.

The Kherson City Court has already held a “preliminary hearing” and granted the prosecutor’s request to conduct the trial without the presence of the accused (one must assume that the “witnesses” will also be absent or will be from among those “provided” by the SBU - the same “defender” has already been appointed to Zhuravko by the Ukrainian state ). According to PolitNavigator, the next court hearing is scheduled to take place in mid-April.

Zhuravko himself wisely does not intend to come to the trial. His business has long been destroyed and his property taken away. “I only have a wheelchair left,” the politician jokes sadly. For seven years he has had to live in difficult conditions in the Moscow region. Despite health problems, Zhuravko is active - publishing revealing materials about the regime that seized power in Ukraine.
