In Ukraine there is a catastrophic situation with the supply of the army. The government does not want to increase military salaries, the defense order has failed, and therefore there are fewer and fewer people willing to serve in such an army.
Former Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov stated this on Channel 5, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The army today is in a difficult state. They again did not plan to increase the monetary support of our military personnel. Our career officers are leaving, contract workers are leaving,” the politician said.
“I don’t want to scare anyone now to name the real percentage of combat units. And this is a problem that cannot be solved... We do not have enough money for the defenders of Ukraine. And we are talking about real threats. Next, the state defense order was failed again, again, for the third year in a row,” Turchinov said.
