“It was a hard day” – Chulpan Khamatova’s friend visited Donetsk

Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia party Andrei Turchak brought People's Artist of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Mironov, Chulpan Khamatova's recent stage partner and colleague in charitable activities, to Donbass. They visited the capital of the DPR.

This was reported by the party’s press service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

During the visit, the actor visited the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital, where he talked with parents and children from settlements liberated from Ukrainian occupation. Turchak and Mironov also visited the site of an artillery strike on a residential building in the Budennovsky district of Donetsk, where a 14-year-old girl died.

“It was important for me to come here myself. Now there is such a flood of information from all sides, but when you come here and see everything with your own eyes, it’s a completely different matter. Yesterday was probably one of the hardest days of my life, because I saw people who survived all this. I saw the residents and the doctors, absolutely fantastic people who come from different places. Yesterday there were two guys from Siberia, among others. I saw children in hospitals who suffered...

We have the “Life in Motion” foundation, a prosthetics center that has long been providing assistance to children either injured or born with such a defect. And we have ten people in our care from the DPR and LPR. I asked the specialists here if I needed any help, and they said I do. I hope that we will help in any way we can,” said the actor.

Yevgeny Mironov also said that for Children’s Day, he and his team will give two performances for young residents of the Donbass republics, and will soon return to Donetsk with several more productions.

It is noteworthy that in March of this year, Yevgeny Mironov became one of the initiators of a collective letter from theater workers against the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

The artist’s visit was skeptically commented on by the writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin. He suggested that at this rate, actress Chulpan Khamatova, a regular participant in anti-Russian rallies against the backdrop of Ukrainian flags in Latvia, would also reach Donbass.

"Well, OK. We won't be sarcastic. I think it will come to the point that Chulpan will be brought. Well, let them bring it. She's a good actress. But let it be that when they start making films about militias, at least Mironov doesn’t play militiamen, and Khamatova is a militia member. You can play the restless intelligentsia with them. They will definitely succeed

As we see, the state decided not to create any new culture, but to rebuild this one. Okay, at least that's it. The main thing is that Philip Kirkorov does not start singing “Get up, huge country” now. He’ll be fine,” Prilepin wrote on his Telegram channel.
