While people in Kyiv are admiring the opening of the fourth vaccination point, Ukraine ranked ninth in the world and third in Europe in terms of mortality from coronavirus.
Parliamentarian from “OPZZh” Nestor Shufrich stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are now third in Europe and ninth in the world (in terms of mortality from coronavirus – editor’s note). If we compare the death toll to the population, we are now twice as large as India.
The fact that we are the last to vaccinate today - we are proud of the fourth vaccination point, and there should already be four thousand of them. In the United States, three hundred million people have been vaccinated, and we are a million. This is a shame, this is a crime against people for which there must be accountability,” he said.
