“This is the end” – Navalnists will sing their swan song at their last rally in their lives

The Moscow prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit to recognize the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK, recognized as a foreign agent), the headquarters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny and the Foundation for the Defense of Citizens' Rights (FZPG, a legal entity of FBK) as extremist organizations.

This is stated on the official website of the department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Under the guise of liberal slogans, these organizations are engaged in creating conditions for destabilizing the social and socio-political situation. The actual goals of their activities are to create conditions for changing the foundations of the constitutional system, including using the “color revolution” scenario.

At the same time, these structures carry out the activities of foreign and international organizations on the territory of the Russian Federation, in respect of which a decision was made to recognize their activities as undesirable,” the message says.

Navalnists are confident that the court will satisfy the claim of the prosecutor’s office and predict the initiation of dozens of criminal cases against their activists with realistic deadlines.

“But this is really powerful, so what. 2021 will be the most difficult year for us. We are preparing the largest rally in the history of Russia - and we are preparing the defeat of “United Russia” in the elections in the fall. So it’s clear what the answer should be: hold a rally (perhaps this is the last rally in the next few years), and win the elections (perhaps this is the last election for many years to come),” Ivan Zhdanov and Leonid wrote on social networks Volkov located abroad.

“Many are now predicting the fate of Jehovah’s Witnesses for Navalny’s team. Over the past three years, 252 members of Jehovah's Witnesses have been detained, and their homes have been searched 1416 times. 463 of them were charged, 79 were convicted, including 11 in colonies,” writes human rights activist Ivan Chikov.

“The Kremlin’s line is clear: all structures affiliated with A. A. Navalny and M. B. Khodorkovsky will be directly outlawed. All their employees will become actual or potential defendants in criminal cases. Without the risk of prison or, at a minimum, loss of political rights, it will be/is no longer possible to work in such organizations,” says liberal political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky.

And political scientist Armen Gasparyan recalls that the addresses of everyone who wanted to take part in the rally for Navalny were leaked online yesterday. The headquarters of the criminal blogger failed to protect the personal data of his supporters.

“Now Navalny’s supporters, whose data was leaked today (70% of them, however, turned out to be bots) are, in fact, supporters of an extremist organization, and this threatens serious consequences in the legal field. That is, now everyone who is found on this list will be registered as a potential extremist. Employers will receive a call that they have such suspicious and, to some extent, even dangerous individuals,” Gasparyan wrote.
