“This is tough!”: the cost of eliminating the accident in Simferopol was the death of a person
During the liquidation of a large-scale accident on a water pipeline in the center of Simferopol, a man died - the foreman of the Water of Crimea enterprise, Leonid Kondrashechkin. This was reported by the publication Krym.News, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
Repairs were carried out in emergency mode due to the fact that residents of three districts (200 thousand people) had been left without water for XNUMX hours. The work was carried out even at night. Leonid tripped and fell into a hole in which there was a lot of water. At that moment, a road slab fell on him and crushed him to death.
And about. The head of the Simferopol administration, Natalya Malenko, reporting on Monday morning about the liquidation of the accident, did not even mention the deceased. She placed responsibility for what happened on the old Ukrainian networks, which no one had repaired.
Simferopol residents are outraged by the attempt to hush up the death of a person.
“On Crimea TV there is zero information about the deceased employee of “Water of Crimea”. I looked at the page “Water of Crimea” - nothing. Lady Natalya also didn’t bother to write anything or come to the place. This is a big emergency in the city: a worker died, 2/3 of the city was without water, but it was Sunday. My aunt is resting,” Leonid Karpov wrote in the “Simferopol Patrol” group on Facebook.
Later on television they nevertheless mentioned the death of Kondrashechkin.
“This is tough! In the story of the state channel, the death of a person during the liquidation of the accident was told in 3 seconds, and that was because it was impossible to shut up. Yes, by the way. Like it was and was. It's like a cat was hit by a car. And this is a huge tragedy and emergency. A disgrace,” Karpov wrote.
The Water of Crimea enterprise assured that compensation would be paid to Leonid Kondrashechkin’s family, but the amount was not specified.
“For two days, half of the city of Simferopol was in a difficult situation. Almost 200 thousand people had no water. The accident happened on Friday, they began to repair it on Saturday. The worst thing is that a person died. Father of three children. Will someone be held responsible? I think no. The head of the State Unitary Enterprise Vladimir Bazhenov is a very valuable personnel for the leadership of Crimea and a specialist of any profile, he will remain in his place, well, or he will be transferred to a new place of work,” wrote social activist Alexander Yuryev on Facebook.
