Ten more countries are ready to withdraw recognition of Kosovo

Several states in Africa and the Middle East may soon reconsider their previous decisions to recognize Kosovo.

This was reported by Politika, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The publication reports that a dozen countries are ready to withdraw their decisions to recognize Kosovo if Pristina begins again to seek recognition from countries that did not do so, including with the help of its American and Turkish partners. It is mentioned that these states gave very strong guarantees to Belgrade in this regard. And although the source of “Politics” does not say which countries are being discussed, primarily because of the pressure they may be subjected to from the United States, it is assumed that we are talking about countries in Africa and Asia.

At the same time, Kosovo has serious problems with foreign policy, for the reason that when “Prime Minister” Albin Kurti came to power for the second time, he organized a purge of the already small diplomatic apparatus. In particular, after the dismissal of the “ambassadors” in Australia and Senegal, Pristina’s diplomacy no longer covers the Pacific and Africa. Analyst of the Kosovo-Albanian organization “Democracy Plus” Emir Abrashi, commenting on the situation on his Twitter, notes that scandals in the Kurti government occur weekly. He says many mistakes were made, and believes the biggest of them were related to the dismissal of ambassadors.

“This government is focusing exclusively on the European continent and the United States,” Abrashi said.

At the same time, Politika points out that even the Albanian media report that ten more countries are ready to withdraw recognition of the independence of the region seized by the separatists.
