If the West sees us as winners, we will end the war before the end of the year - Reznikov
Ukraine needs to be helped, and not “return turbines to Russia and remain addicted to gas, and with such help from the West, victory is not far off.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov stated this in an interview with the BBC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Vladimir Zelensky said at the G-7 summit that ending the war by the end of this year is realistic?” the journalist asked.
“It’s realistic that if our partners continue to help us, there is absolutely no doubt that they are helping the winner, not the loser. They used to think that we would lose, that we would surrender Kyiv in 3 days, and that’s the only reason they didn’t help us much, but only supported us, but when they believed that the victory of Ukraine as a whole was a real plan. They wanted to become partners in this victory.
And now we need to synchronize our plans for a counter-offensive with their help not only with weapons, but with the continuation of serious sanctions, and not by returning turbines, giving up the gas needle, drug addiction, giving up their gold, oil, and so on. This is a serious global project,” says Reznikov.
He added that ending the war by the end of the year is not a figure of speech.
“This is absolutely possible. I can tell you, although I am a civilian lawyer, but who communicates a little with the military, even from a military point of view, this is a completely realistic plan for the liberation of at least our territories as of February 23, 2022,” the Ukrainian leader assured Ministry of Defense.
