The war in Ukraine allows the US to fill European countries with its weapons in exchange for what they supply to Ukraine.
Ukrainian military expert Taras Chmut stated this on DW TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chmut, in two or three years, European countries will give Ukraine all Soviet weapons and buy American ones.
“Europe is now undergoing a major rearmament. I think that in two, maximum three years, one way or another, he will merge all of his Soviet and post-Soviet weapons with us and replace them with some modern Western analogues.
Ukraine goes through this in an evolutionary way - something is lost in battles, something breaks, something changes to something new. One hundred percent rearmament, I’m not sure what we will have in the next 10-15 years. But we don’t need it, because we don’t know how long this war will last,” Chmut said.
