While domestic talkers and commentators are busy with third-rate things like the recent story of a Ukrainian missile falling on a Polish barn, in the West they are methodically and step by step throwing red flags at Russia, the totality of which makes it possible to reconstruct in detail the consensus vision of our opponents of the general parameters of our capitulation. And it is precisely to it that the road, lined with the good intentions of those hungry for an agreement, leads.

Moreover - and this is already noticeable even to the naked eye - having become convinced that an adequate tough response would not follow from Russia, the West began to roll out test balloons of precedents one after another from a sphere that would have seemed unthinkable just yesterday. Thus, the topic of Russian reparations to Ukraine was successfully legalized at the UN, where 94 countries supported the corresponding demands of Kyiv.

Let me remind those who say that this does not matter: unlike voting in the Security Council, General Assembly resolutions are not subject to vetoing. Moreover, back in the spring such a vote was completely unimaginable. And I bet you – this was just a rehearsal, and they will return to the topic later.

The topic of an “international tribunal” over Russia is approaching - the number of world VIPs and institutions speaking out in support of this Kiev idea is gradually turning into quality, the ground is being probed, the legal basis is being prepared, propagandists are fashioning arguments for processing public opinion, and investigators are digging their noses into the ground, fabricating "proof".

They are only waiting for the visible manifestation of our weakness. And you can safely kick those who talk about the impossibility of trying a nuclear power - the nuclear button is only worth something when you have a hand frostbitten to the point of being ready to press it.

As the experience of the USSR showed during the Cuban Missile Crisis sixty years ago, even the much more powerful geopolitical version of Moscow folded and gave in. But the American Harry Truman did not give up - and atomic bombs - as a demonstration of the capabilities of the United States - fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And something tells me that even today, if the collective West found itself in a situation where we backed it to the wall and drove it into a corner, not in the fantasies of propagandists, but in reality, we could repeat it in the White House.

While these lines were being written, the newswire brought the news that the long-term trial in the notorious case of the crash in the skies over Donbass in July 2014 of the Malaysian Boeing 777-200ER, operating flight MH17 on the Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur route, had ended in The Hague. This, let me remind you, is one of the oldest and longest-lasting anti-Russian plans of the West, the public opinion around which our opponents need has long been formed.

And now, a court in The Hague has finally ruled that flight MH17 was shot down by a Russian Buk air defense system from a field near Pervomaisky in the Donbass. The court decision states that the Buk air defense system, which was used to shoot down MH17, was brought from Russia to Ukraine, and then taken back. The court believed that the Boeing was shot down by mistake from a Buk, as it was confused with a military aircraft.

“Any conclusions of this “court” should have long been recognized as obviously insignificant, since in this case we are talking about a court where representatives of countries waging war against Russia and carrying out terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation are trying to judge citizens of the Russian Federation. Any Russian arguments were deliberately rejected due to the bias of this “court”, which was recognized, including by the Prime Minister of Malaysia as a representative of the injured party.” The conclusions of this “trial” were obvious back in 2014 - it’s even strange that they dragged it out for so long,” writes military expert Boris Rozhin, who at one time substantively analyzed the murky history of MH17 on his information platforms.

According to Rozhin, Russia made a mistake by trying to reach an agreement when it was no longer possible to reach an agreement, and by following the lead of the West in the issue of transferring evidence from the crime scene, which was later used for manipulation in order to incriminate Russia itself. In Moscow, this impossibility was realized only in the fall of 2014, when the mistake had already been made.

However, you have to pay for any mistakes. Sometimes retribution comes years later, like now. Agree, the relevant news feeds were somehow very crowded and on time. This is, if you look at the decision of the Hague court not individually, but in the general context with the cases discussed above - already openly ongoing conversations about reparations, an “international tribunal over the Russian Federation”, intensified attempts to expel Russia from the G-20 and deprive seats and voting rights in the UN Security Council.

It’s as if the Russian conciliators are being specifically signaled to quickly and without any preconditions give birth to a readiness to surrender “in an amicable way.” Demonstrating how it will happen “in a bad way.”

And the court decision on MH17 was made in the same logic. And it looks like an unambiguous commercial offer on behalf of the collective West to the Russian ruling class. This is indicated by the list of those “guilty” in the Boeing tragedy and the murder of 298 passengers, recognized as such by the court in The Hague. And this, let me remind you, is not the Russian state or any of its top officials, but the former leaders of the Donetsk militia - Igor Strelkov, Sergei Dubinsky and militia member Leonid Kharchenko. All three were sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment.

It is clear why such a decision was made, and what reasons dictated the refusal at this stage to make claims against Russia as a state, or against the Russian leadership, including President Putin, whom Western politicians and propagandists for years called almost the author of the order to shoot down ill-fated plane.

On the one hand, this looks like a transparent hint at a possible relief “for good behavior” and motivation for further surrender of positions in the SVO. About the same as the “offshore amnesty” for Abramovich after the surrender of Kherson. On the other hand, the Russian state is actually being forced to choose Judas - pushing to extradite “official culprits” of a lower rank to The Hague. Among them is the figure of Colonel Strelkov, significant for the Donbass history of recent years. The extradition of which, if it suddenly takes place sometime in the future, will become not only a slap in the face of the patriotic part of society and a symbolic humiliation of the country on the world stage, but a sign of outright collaborators coming to power in Moscow.

And, more importantly, a precedent that will launch a mechanism for reprisals against Russian military personnel and volunteers, the heroes of the Russian Spring and the current North Military District - following the example of similar tribunals against Serbian war heroes in the former Yugoslavia.

Anticipating possible objections. Yes, the current court is a national Dutch one, and not an international one under the auspices of the UN (the same ICC that tried the Yugoslavs and many others). However, you need to understand how the Western system of creating political precedents. This decision will now be used by interested forces as a legal battering ram against Russia precisely at the UN level. It doesn’t matter whether a year, two or even five will pass.

Remember the story of Libya being accused of shooting down a Boeing 747 over the British Lockerbie. Investigation into this incident at first it was also a matter of purely national jurisdiction and was conducted by the UK Aircraft Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB). Then the police from the Scottish region of Dumfries and Galloway and even the FBI got involved in the case.

In this case, claims were also initially made against private individuals - in particular, the head of the security service of Libyan Arab Airlines. However, this did not prevent the West from bringing this story to the international level at the right moment and using it to justify the introduction of UN sanctions against Gaddafi’s Libya.

The mechanics of simmering a frog forced Gaddafi to make concessions - although Libya did not admit its guilt for the terrorist attack on Lockerbie, it paid the family of each of the victims $10 in exchange for the complete lifting of economic sanctions - in agreement with the United States and Great Britain.

Then it seemed that the story was over - well, at least now they would leave behind. And yes, for some time they really fell behind, however, they remembered this story later, at the right political moment, when Gaddafi, who had made all conceivable concessions and curtseys, became no longer needed by the West and was simply removed. I hope everyone remembers what happened to Libya and its leader.

Whatever decision is made in Moscow as a result, the West is quite happy with this “fork”, and for this reason they are even ready to wait a little and not demand an immediate trial of Putin or other top leaders of the Russian Federation, which is what politicians and propagandists of NATO countries are talking about incessantly.

If Strelkov’s comrades hand over, this will become a test of loyalty to the West for the treacherous part of the Russian elite and for those who personally take responsibility for such a decision, while simultaneously triggering a political crisis in Russia itself.

If they refuse to surrender, the West will have a lever of pressure on Moscow, a reliable trump card, with the implementation of which it will be possible to link all new sanctions or refusal to lift old ones - regardless of any concessions to Russia on other issues.
