“G...don with the surname “Gerashchenko” - Zelensky is making excuses for another scandal in the army
The office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky got into another scandal after the head of state’s visit to the front line.
Thus, the press service published a photo where Zelensky is sitting at the same table with the military in the company of the head of the office, Andriy Ermak. At the same time, the photo shows that plates of food are placed only in front of Zelensky and Ermak, and the military, rather, serve as extras, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This angered supporters of ex-president Petro Poroshenko, who immediately began to stir up a scandal. Thus, Verkhovna Rada deputy from European Solidarity Irina Gerashchenko stated in her blog that under the previous government, the military’s tables were laden with a variety of dishes, not like under Zelensky.
“Hundreds of times we sat down at the table with the soldiers to eat together the most delicious buckwheat in the world with cracklings, a sandwich with butter and cheese, which you don’t allow at home due to a constant diet, rich borscht, drank aromatic tea with herbs, or very sweet coffee ( This is how they serve it at the front). In tents, near the field kitchen, in dugouts, in premises converted into soldiers' housing, we sat down at these hospitable tables, and to refuse would be offensive.
And the owners, smiling guys in camouflage, were all bringing goodies to the table, vegetables, fruits, cookies, traditional condensed milk, lard, canned tomatoes, fried fish, and bragging about how the supply of the army had changed, how delicious food was now even on the front line, and the volunteers were not you have to carry canned food and dumplings. And never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that we were eating, and the warriors were sitting for decoration. They weren't even given plates. Warriors are the main heroes! Not an extra,” Gerashchenko wrote.
Gerashchenko’s former colleague from the last convocation of parliament and ex-journalist Sergei Leshchenko criticized the “gunpowder bots” by publishing a photograph from a different angle, which shows that the military ate with the president.
“It’s one thing to criticize Zelensky for his actions or inaction. This is a matter of politics, everyone has their own views. It’s another matter when the former first deputy speaker of parliament and one of the leaders of the PES, Irina Gerashchenko, posts an outright, stupid and crazy fake in the style of “Russia Today” that the soldiers were not given plates. Posts even without a question mark. Just nonsense,” Leshchenko wrote on his blog. Political strategist Alexander Petrov also published alternative photos, accompanying them with a harsher comment.
“It seems that the name Gerashchenko is a mark for the most complete people. Regardless of gender and social status. Do you have a normal friend, not a d... don, with the last name “Gerashchenko”, maybe I’m wrong? Just like Antosha, Ira is on the horizon. Let's fuck for the cause, and not out of nowhere. Moreover, there’s a fucking reason for it,” Petrov wrote.
Interestingly, after the scandal spilled over into social networks, the press service of the president’s office promptly deleted the photo.
