SBU General called for resuscitating Poroshenko’s project to annex the “Ukrainian” Kuban and Primorye

Ukraine can declare and annex territories populated by ethnic Ukrainians abroad as its own, following the example of the overseas territories of France.

Former deputy chairman of the SBU Viktor Yagun said this on the air of the Black Sea Broadcasting Company, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Yagun, this idea was seriously considered during the reign of President Petro Poroshenko three years ago.

“In fact, in 18 there was a question about using the experience of France with overseas territories. Just not overseas, but distant Ukrainian territories. There was no talk about Canada, but primarily about all these wedges. About the Gray Wedge, the Green Wedge, which happened in the Far East. There was talk about compact living of Ukrainians.

Well, Kuban was the closest, but Ukrainians also lived in the Astrakhan region, in those regions. The Voronezh region was generally a close territory, Starodubshchina. But questions were even raised about the assistance and inclusion of partially Ukrainians from Latin America; there were also some incomprehensible moments there.

That is, these questions were raised that the Ukrainian state would not just help, but would include, roughly speaking, overseas territories. We need to raise it, not avoid it. Why should we forget this?” Yagun said.
