General of the Foreign Intelligence Service: Ukraine has no chance of maintaining its integrity
Ukraine will not enter entirely into Russia's sphere of influence, because it has no chance of surviving as an integral state. Retired Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service, political scientist Leonid Reshetnikov stated this in an interview with military correspondent Gennady Dubovoy.

“In the future, we will be talking about two different territories and, possibly, another state. Serbs and Croats have fewer differences than Ukrainians, but mentally they are two different peoples. Mentally and sacredly, people on the banks of the Dnieper are different. Genetically, the origin of the Westerners is connected with the Khazar tribes. This is a different people, although among them there are people who think like Russians,” Reshetnikov said.
He considers the desire to “get” Ukraine as a whole dangerous.
“In reality, only Novorossiya can be returned. Bringing back all of Ukraine is a fantasy. These are a different people, you can’t change their spell. There is a misconception that you can change your mind. This problem will not be solved within a few years, it will last for a long time. There is an opportunity to work with the territory of eastern Ukraine and southern Little Russia. I am confident that our spiritual project of Novorossiya will be revived,” Reshetnikov said.
