Russia is allegedly preparing strike forces on the border with Ukraine that will be used for the upcoming military “invasion.” Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko stated this during a meeting with the military-diplomatic corps, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In modern geopolitical realities, we predict military threats in three out of four geographic directions: from the North, East, and South. The Russian side is completing the formation of strike formations on the borders of Ukraine, which, together with special forces units, will form the basis of the invasion forces.
The high mobility, adaptability and autonomy of our troops, combined with the factor of our native land, is our strategic advantage over the occupying forces,” he said.
At the same time, the head of the General Staff hinted that the dissatisfaction of the Ukrainian military with the policies of the current government is a consequence of Russia’s “information operations.”
“The period of so-called pre-election turbulence, which our country has entered, is being used by the Russian Federation to conduct a set of special operations to undermine the defense potential of Ukraine.
We are monitoring the enemy’s significant activation in the information space, where through a series of information and psychological operations he is trying to influence personnel. Also, in parallel with this, we do not exclude the possibility of carrying out acts of direct action in the form of sabotage and sabotage near the front line and even in the rear,” Muzhenko noted.
