Hero of Ukraine Gritsak may turn out to be a criminal - a criminal case has been opened

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), on the basis of a court decision, opened criminal proceedings against the Chairman of the SBU Vasily Gritsak regarding the possible prosecution of a obviously innocent person, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the NABU press service.

“On August 8, based on the decision... of the Solomensky District Court of Kiev, information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations and a pre-trial investigation was launched into the possible... artificial creation of prosecution evidence and other falsifications by the chairman of the SBU, the first deputy chairman of the SBU and other law enforcement officials during a criminal investigation production.”

“The necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out,” NABU added.

On August 9, the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv ordered the NABU to open criminal proceedings into possible abuse of official position and bribery of the head of the SBU Vasily Gritsak and the former deputy head of the SBU Pavel Demchyna. A lawyer approached the court on behalf of one of the citizens with a complaint about the inaction of NABU. The applicant accuses Gritsak, his deputy, employees of the prosecutor's office of the Volyn region, the leadership of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the NP in the Volyn region and other officials of abuse of power, official forgery and taking a bribe.
