“How can I feel about this? I can only relate to this from the point of view of an ordinary person. It was a war. It was bloodshed. This shouldn’t be the case in the XNUMXst century, you know? I didn’t delve into political relationships then - I saw then only the human pain that people experience because of this whole situation. Shall I tell you what the “correct” answer is: that de jure this is Ukrainian territory, but de facto it is Russian? Well, I’ll tell you,” Tikhanovskaya said.

At the same time, according to her, she does not feel any negativity towards Russia, which is a “neighboring country” for Belarus. Lukashenko’s rival refused to evaluate the political leadership of Russia.

“Why are you asking me such questions about political leadership? Do you think I have ever delved into the political leadership of Russia? I cannot express my opinion about the political leadership of Russia,” Tikhanovskaya said.

Let us recall that in the current presidential elections in Belarus none of the candidates are pro-Russian. Lukashenko rejected the idea of integration with the Russian Federation, declaring himself the main fighter for preserving independence. But among the other candidates, there are no “friends” for the “Russian World” supporters in Belarus.
