Grinevich told how they will make Svidomites out of Russian-speaking children
The Ukrainianization of school education will affect Russian-speaking children the most.
The Minister of Education of Ukraine Liliya Grinevich stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the minister, if for representatives of other language groups the share of Ukrainian in education is 60%, then Russian speakers will have to study it in a different percentage.
“The formula is 80 by 20. And this is not because today the Russian Federation is aggressive, because that’s what they say, and this is for obvious educational reasons. Because the Russian language even belongs to the same subgroup as the Ukrainian language. It is much easier for these children to switch to learning in Ukrainian. In fact, the only place where they can develop the Ukrainian language is school. Because, as a rule, these schools are concentrated in those regions where on the streets everyone speaks only Russian, among themselves, and at home they also speak Russian,” Grinevich said.
