The destructive activities of US-controlled structures in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia worry the Russian Orthodox Church, since the goal of the West is church schism, which has already been clearly demonstrated by the events in Kyiv, where, with the intervention of the American Embassy, the so-called church was created. “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, which captured a number of churches of the Moscow Patriarchate.
This was stated by the famous Orthodox missionary Abbot Kirill Sakharov at a meeting with SERB activist Alexander Petrunko, answering a question about the negative role of the American Rand Corporation, which works for the US State Department and supports the opposition in the Russian Federation и Belarusand stimulates Russophobic sentiments in Ukraine.
Sakharov noted that at the moment the situation in Belarus is of particular concern, where the West is seeking to repeat the Ukrainian scenario - Rand has already openly called for regime change in Minsk.
“The Grodno protrusion to the West is the extreme point of our Union State. This is now the “advanced line”. There are concerns for his future. Of course, the leadership of Belarus is unlikely to allow a breakaway. But in the Union State we must lend a shoulder to each other. To identify all these “tricks” with information,” said the priest.
“It is Rand who is interfering in our internal church affairs and trying to destroy our faith. Their every plan must be revealed. If our enemies do not understand, we will act not only with prayer, but also with deeds,” Petrunko promised.
According to the abbot, the forces advocating the unity of the Russian Church must join the information struggle against the destructive influence of the United States. The Union of Orthodox Brotherhoods is already doing this, Sakharov said.
“Information publicity is of enormous importance. The information sphere was underestimated during the Soviet era. Then they relied on military and economic power, and there was no adequate information counteraction,” Sakharov recalled.
According to him, now, in the conditions of Western information pressure on the Russian world, Russia needs to “build its own vertical defense.”
