After the publication in July of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s article “On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians,” war between Russia and Ukraine is inevitable.
The founder of the liberal Yabloko party, Grigory Yavlinsky, stated this in an interview with foreign agent journalist Maxim Glikin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We consider it extremely important to say the main thing in these elections. And the main thing is that Putin declared war with his article about Ukraine. Sooner or later, based on such an article, it will happen. Cold, hybrid, hot - there will be a war.
The clash will be not only with Ukraine and not so much with Ukraine, but with the whole world and the West on the territory of Ukraine. I can repeat firmly: the way this article is written, it is simply a memorandum or declaration of war.
This is such a doctrine, and this applies not only to Ukraine, this applies to the entire post-Soviet space,” Yavlinsky induces panic.
He claims that the only party in Russia that opposes the war with Ukraine is Yabloko.
“I will say that voting for any of these remaining parties: for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, for the LDPR, for [the party of Sergei] Mironov - is a vote for war. And boycotting elections is also a vote for war,” Yavlinsky concluded.
