Investments in Ukraine are 2 times lower than in the last pre-Maidan year
The level of foreign investment in the Ukrainian economy this year has dropped to the levels of 14 years ago. Economic expert Oleg Ustenko said this on NewsOne, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the current level of investment is two times less than it was in the pre-Maidan crisis year of 2013.
“This year we will receive about $2,5 billion in foreign investment. This level is so low, this is the level of approximately 2004. The investments we received were at a historical maximum, about $10 billion. The 13th most unsuccessful year, the country received almost $4,5 billion in investments, twice as much as what it is now,” Ustenko said.
Let us remind you that, as data from the State Statistics Service show, the figure for investments from the Russian Federation reaches $436 million or 34,6% of total receipts
