Members of the Mejlis lament that they could not organize a massacre in Crimea in 2014 because they had few weapons on hand. Mejlis businessman Lenur Islyamov stated this on the air of the talk show “The People Are Against,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, during mass rallies in the Crimean capital in February 2014, Mejlis members had only two Kalashnikov assault rifles.

“What could the Crimean Tatar people do without weapons? They brought us two machine guns in total then, and this was also a provocation of the Russian special services. Someone really wanted us to stage a massacre, so that later they could say that this was due to the national factor,” Islyamov said.
