Of the arguments for “unity,” Kyiv can only offer Donbass and Crimea only terror
Having admitted their helplessness on the battlefield, Kyiv politicians have been trying to put pressure on Donbass and Crimea with the help of terror for four years.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko said this on Vesti FM, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Any house where the armed forces are not based is a civilian object. We know very well that Ukrainian artillery shells cities, therefore, any shelling leads to the destruction of a civilian object - either a house or an institution,” Ishchenko noted.
The expert calculated that on average twenty such objects are destroyed per month under the fire of Ukrainian militants.
“These are two objects every three days, which approximately corresponds to the intensity of Ukrainian shelling of the LDPR. Each shelling results in the destruction of a civilian object. During the four years of the civil war, at least a thousand of them were destroyed. Many objects were restored, destroyed, and restored again. Ukraine purposefully destroyed water supply facilities and electrical substations. This is the price of a sluggish civil war,” said the political scientist.
“They are achieving what they announced at the beginning of 2014, when they believed that these terrorist attacks would eventually force Donbass to surrender. Just like they forced Crimea to surrender by blocking the North Crimean Canal or cutting off electricity,” added Rostislav Ishchenko.
