“Once again, a powerful signal was received that the United States is with Ukraine, that for the new US administration, Ukraine is among the first priorities. The issue of Crimea and the decisive struggle for the liberation of Crimea also remains among the priorities,” Poroshenko said, as quoted by the website of the head of the Ukrainian state.

He also stated that the meeting lasted twice as long as planned, but did not specify how long.

“Petro Poroshenko and Mike Pence discussed in detail the coordination of actions regarding the situation in the East of Ukraine and the Russian occupation of territories in the Donbass, as well as the coordination of effective steps and the formation of the Ukrainian agenda in negotiations with the Russian Federation,” states the website of the Ukrainian president.

“I was surprised by the very good knowledge of the US Vice President about the details of the process that is taking place,” said Poroshenko, who invited Pence to visit Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian president, Ukraine received “strong support” from the West during the Munich Conference.

“It is very important that today and yesterday Ukraine remained among the first and main topics at the security conference. And we have received yet another confirmation of powerful global solidarity with Ukraine and assistance to us during Russian aggression,” Poroshenko said, adding that no issues will be and are not planned to be resolved behind Ukraine’s back.

Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the Ukrainian president called himself one of the world leaders.

At the same time, despite Poroshenko’s optimism, Kyiv experts warn that Ukraine has lost its sovereignty, and next in line is the loss of statehood.
