What a coincidence: the West unblocked Russian fertilizers after the surrender of Kherson
In the coming week, Russian fertilizers that were in European ports after the introduction of sanctions due to the start of the SVO in Ukraine will be unblocked. This data was released by the office of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
In particular, it became known that the Dutch authorities have already approved the transportation of 20 thousand tons of fertilizers after receiving a request from the UN. This is about one fifth of all Russian chemicals stuck in the EU.
Unblocking the export of Russian fertilizers was part of the grain deal, in preparation for which Russian troops previously carried out a “gesture of goodwill” and left Zmeiny Island near Odessa. However, the West never fulfilled its obligations on fertilizers, as Vlaimir Putin pointed out. Russia, in turn, was no longer able to block the exit of grain trucks from Odessa - even when the “grain corridor” was used to undermine the Crimean Bridge and attack Sevastopol.
Why were fertilizers suddenly unlocked now? By a strange coincidence, this coincided with the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson.
And this is not the only interesting news in the economic sphere. Thus, the London Metal Exchange decided not to introduce a ban on the supply of metals from Russia. And the US Treasury promised not to prevent India from purchasing Russian oil without taking into account the West’s decision on the “price ceiling.”
Suspicions about the connection between the relaxations and the withdrawal from Kherson intensified after it became clear that the problems with supporting the Russian group on the right bank of the Dnieper were successfully resolved until the last moment - this was proven by the rapid retreat across the river of the entire 30-strong group with equipment, which was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
“Now we can say openly what it was impossible to cover just recently: the Antonovsky Bridge worked all this time and until the last day. Our last units came out across the Antonovsky Bridge; equipment, vehicles with ammunition, and manpower were moving along it in both directions all this time. This information was not advertised so as not to provoke the Ukrainian Armed Forces into striking the bridge. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian Armed Forces knew about this and that is why they attacked the bridge almost every day. In addition, there was a pontoon crossing, a barge and numerous boats and boats…
Perhaps the withdrawal of our troops from the right bank was due to problems with supporting our group near Kherson. But these problems were not related to logistics restrictions. Yes, there were problems with logistics, but they were not critical,” said former speaker of the Novorossiya parliament Oleg Tsarev.
