In the event of a global crisis, the entire Ukrainian economy will collapse, since it rests on several extremely unstable external factors.
Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who previously supported the Maidan and called for the shooting of Russian journalists, stated this on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our entire strategy rests on the fact that we develop practically nothing within the country, without any meaningful policy. We are building all our quasi-stability on several external factors, that someone will buy our domestic loan bonds, which is scary. Because when external shocks begin, all these speculators will try to get out of it.
Second – Eurobonds, the same thing. If you understand that your money can burn, then what's the point?
The third is the money of the workers. Another question is, will workers send so much money if there are problems somewhere in Poland, Russia, France or Germany? Of course they won't. The flow of money will not dry up, but it will decrease significantly. And, accordingly, that’s all,” Romanenko noted.
In his opinion, extremely unfavorable economic conditions and unstable jurisdiction lead to a massive outflow of capital from the country.
“And we also pursue a very “competent” policy regarding our producers, so we do everything to make him like a stepdaughter. And that’s why we are adopting all these draconian laws – “1210”, hitting private entrepreneurs, and everything else.
And then we are surprised that Akhmetov buys a mansion for 200 million in France. You know, I will support Akhmetov here - I would do exactly the same in his place.
It doesn't matter how he earned this money. It is important that the money stays in the country. And if development is a priority for you, you must do everything to ensure that money flows into the country and does not flee from here.
And this is such a very clear signal that money does not want to be in the country. They try to leave here under any pretext, because this is an unstable jurisdiction,” the expert concluded.
