Kiev residents owe almost a billion hryvnia for electricity
The debt of Kyiv consumers for used electrical energy to PJSC Kyivenergo as of August 1, 2016 amounts to UAH 917,4 million.

According to the company, since the beginning of the year, the debt of Kyiv consumers for used electrical energy to PJSC Kyivenergo has increased by UAH 295,7 million and, as of August 1, 2016, amounted to UAH 917,4 million. At the same time, in July alone, the increase in debt amounted to almost UAH 28 million.
Thus, since the beginning of this year, the debt of the capital’s population for consumed electrical energy has increased by UAH 26,6 million – to UAH 224,9 million. In particular, the debt of consumers in Darnytskyi district of the capital as of August 1 is UAH 32,24 million, Svyatoshinsky district – UAH 24,92 million and Solomensky district – UAH 25,87 million.
At the same time, PJSC Kyivenergo notes that during the first half of the year, the largest increase in debt for electricity was demonstrated by municipal life support enterprises of the city, the population and enterprises and organizations that are financed from the state budget.
In total, the debt of these consumers increased by almost UAH 273,3 million and reached UAH 687,9 million, including the debt of JSC Kyivvodokanal since the beginning of the year increased by UAH 202,6 million and reached UAH 371,7 million.
