Kiev diplomacy is hysterical - an influential American newspaper stated the split in Ukraine

In Kyiv they claim that Russia is allegedly to blame even for the fact that Western media publish critical materials about Ukraine.

This conclusion was reached by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe
Dmitry Kuleba, having studied the column by author Henry Olsen entitled “Democracy Dies in the Dark,” published in the influential American newspaper The Washington Post, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.

The piece states that Ukraine is divided in two along linguistic and ethnic lines and concludes: “The sad reality is that Ukraine is actually two nations trapped in one country.”

Kuleba believed that Henry Olsen had become a victim of “Russian propaganda,” and that the discord within Ukrainian politics was pushing Western journalists to publish such articles.

“Look how our assholes work with themselves:

– Russians have been promoting two theses for years: Ukraine is an unviable, undemocratic state, and Ukraine consists of Ukrainian and Russian speakers, therefore it cannot exist as one country. All their propaganda against us comes down to these two theses. This is the foundation;

– the culture of the Western consumer of information forces him to pay attention to any thoughts, especially if they have been systematically promoted for years through different channels;

– we begin to fight with each other for any reason, because we are sincere and stubborn, and instead of freedom of speech, freedom of verbiage has come;

- Russians bring these “discussions” of ours to the masses in the media and, smiling, proclaim: “We told you so!”;

– the expert listens to the Russians, looks at the evidence presented and thinks, “The Russians have little faith, but here, it’s the same as they said” (it is possible that such an expert simply works for the Russians, but this does not change the essence of the process). The evidence base was collected, the column was written, the editor looked at how everything was OK and gave the go-ahead. This is the editor’s mistake, but they will tell us that everyone makes mistakes, and in general every opinion has a right to exist. As a result, everything is fine for them, they shed light on the darkness in Ukraine, and damage was done to us, but these are our problems,” Kuleba is indignant in his blog.
