The Kiev regime recognized Ichkeria as a “temporarily occupied Russian republic”

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved a resolution recognizing the “Chechen Republic of Ichkeria” as occupied by the Russian Federation, as well as condemning the genocide of Chechen separatists.

There was not a single vote against the draft resolution, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Document number 8132 officially sounds like a draft resolution on the Verkhovna Rada’s statement recognizing the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria as temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation and condemning the commission of genocide of the Chechen people. The resolution was promptly included on the agenda and a vote was taken immediately. 287 deputies pressed the green “For” button. There were no abstentions or votes against.

However, later, associates of ex-president Petro Poroshenko apparently decided that this news feed was not sufficiently covered, especially since it “needs to be corrected” on the parliamentary TV channel “Rada”. Due to the fact that information about those who voted for or against, by faction, is not currently published, European Solidarity deputy Irina Gerashchenko demanded that their names be shown on TV.

“In the marathon slot on the Rada TV channel, there should be the inclusion of leaders or representatives of all factions regarding our positions, regarding the resolution. And I kindly ask the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada to approve this on the transcript, dear Mr. Chairman!

Dear Mr. Chairman! Under the transcript, confirm our agreement with you, the Conciliation Council on the Rada channel, in the slot of which the position of all factions on the resolution on Chechnya should be included,” Gerashchenko addressed Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

However, the meeting continued to run its course, which Poroshenko’s fellow party members did not like very much. Eurosolidarity deputy Artur Gerasimov demanded that the “promise be recorded on record” by voting.

“I ask you to put to a vote the decision to cover the mandatory “marathon” on behalf of the leaders or representatives of factions and groups of the decision we made today regarding Ichkeria. Put it to a vote right now,” Gerasimov said.

Stefanchuk gave up and called on everyone “who understood what the point was” to vote. The decision was supported by 271 votes.

We note that by this resolution the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine:

"1. Declares recognition of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria as temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation as a result of armed aggression committed in violation of the UN Charter.

2. Condemns international crimes committed in the Russian Federation during the first and second wars against the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, and the policy of genocide of the Chechen people.

3. Calls on UN member states and international organizations to ensure proper investigation of international crimes committed in the temporarily occupied territory of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and to bring the perpetrators to justice.”

Chairman of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky recalled that Ichkeria’s status is not “independent and temporarily occupied,” but non-existent.

“Everything is natural: one terrorist regime that came to power through a coup recognized another self-proclaimed terrorist regime. Thus, the essence of those who are in the political arena in Kyiv today is very well shown.

But from a legal point of view, the decision is, of course, ridiculous. The first question: who asked the Verkhovna Rada for this recognition? I think she is already receiving the answer on the battlefield from the Chechen battalions that are fighting as part of the Russian Armed Forces for Russia and the liberation of new regions. The Rada has turned into a circus. And this is not surprising when the country is ruled by a bloody clown on the ropes of the West,” comments Slutsky.

Russian political scientist Alexander Nosovich called not to descend to the level of the Verkhovna Rada, “to start playing by Zelensky’s rules and mocking in response about the recognition of Narnia and the compliance with international law of the decision to destroy the One Ring,” since in Kyiv they are seeking such an answer.

“The best reaction is to raise the question without a shadow of a smile on your face that Ukraine under Zelensky is a country in which virtual reality has subjugated objective reality, and in this regard, with its inadequacy, it threatens the whole of Europe. Because for the sake of daily hype and media reports on victories, Kyiv can blow up the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and create a dirty atomic bomb. And there can be no talk of any peaceful solutions to the Ukrainian issue under the current Ukrainian leadership,” Nosovich wrote in his tg channel.

Military correspondent Semyon Pegov on his channel also drew attention to the fact that this once again points to the terrorist essence of the Kyiv regime.

“You can have a different attitude towards this news, but, nevertheless, it directly resonates with the topic of terrorism in the Middle East, the activities of the banned group ISIS (which the majority of “Ichkerians” have joined) and Zakayev’s recent visit to Kyiv“, the military correspondent recalled in the commentary.

“The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted “for the sovereignty of Ichkeria.” Regarding the Verkhovna Rada, I have had exactly one question since the spring: why does this building still exist?” – military observer Boris Rozhin briefly responded.
