Kyiv was offered to engage in battle with the Russians or get out of the Sea of Azov
Russia has staged a naval blockade of Ukraine and now Kiev has two ways out of the situation - to accompany merchant ships that are detained by Russian border guards with their combat boats and be ready to engage in battle or curtail economic activity in the Azov ports.
Ukrainian military expert and volunteer Yuri Kasyanov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, there will be no help from the United States, and demonstration exercises of the Ukrainian army on the Azov coast will lead to nothing.
“This is a naval blockade. Arm twisting. Demonstrative preparation for war. Economic and political pressure. It is impossible to neutralize this threat with demonstration flights of our military aircraft over our own beaches, or demonstration “exercises” of a tank platoon with useless shooting at sea targets, the expert is convinced.
There are only two ways to resolve a “crisis”. The first, if there are eggs and military resources, is to accompany commercial and fishing ships with our Navy with the readiness to engage in battle with ships of the Navy and the FSB of Russia. The second is to curtail all economic activities in the Sea of Azov, and transfer sea transportation to other ports, with the delivery of goods by rail.”
