Klitschko complained that RT’s budget is the same as Kyiv’s

In Ukraine, the information policy is not strict enough; it is necessary to be more attentive to the statements of personalities who are provided with Ukrainian airwaves.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At the Munich Security Conference, one of the key topics was information security. I want to say frankly: now Azarov is broadcasting, disseminating some of his opinions, tomorrow Yanukovych will be broadcasting. If anyone thinks that tanks and missiles pose a threat today, the greatest threat is informational, false, fake news.

Can you imagine, the budget of the Russian “Russia Today” is the same as that of the city of Kyiv. It’s clear why, people are being zombified through the media. And in this direction, I am sure that we need to take a more important approach to personalities, to the information disseminated by the media. Because I follow the statements of those people who disappeared from Ukraine, how they comment on what is happening in the country and do not wish anything good,” said the Kiev mayor.

“I am convinced that an information policy is needed, I am convinced that this policy should unite the country and not split it. This is very important,” Klitschko added.
