Klimkin demanded that Ukrainians surrender their Russian passports

In Ukraine, it is possible to introduce dual citizenship, but not for Russians.

The head of the country's Foreign Ministry, Pavel Klimkin, stated this during a speech in Lvov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the minister, the ban should also apply to civil servants and the Ukrainian military.

“Those who have Russian passports, let them hand them in, everyone else - let’s talk. Dual citizenship can only be under clear conditions. Military commanders will not be able to have it, it does not provide the opportunity to occupy certain positions,” Evropeyskaya Pravda quotes Klimkin.

Previously, he already came up with a similar idea, saying, that in Ukraine “there is clearly a need for a thorough discussion on the issue of dual citizenship.”
