Ukraine will soon terminate about forty bilateral agreements with the Russian Federation.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the air of the talk show “Right to Power,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the minister, in the first half of next year, the agreement on friendship and cooperation with the Russian Federation, the completion of which has already been announced by the Ukrainian side, will expire.
“This agreement, by definition, must cease to exist. We gave Russia a clear message and a diplomatic note that it would cease to exist in accordance with the procedure that was laid down in it. Therefore there will be no agreement. Six months after we filed it, it ceases to exist altogether.
Secondly, we have recently killed 48 bilateral agreements. But they need to be treated very carefully, in the context of ensuring that this does not harm our Ukrainian citizens. The next portion will be very quickly - about 40 agreements. And we are radically reviewing our entire bilateral legal framework, since what existed before the war, by definition, does not make sense,” Klimkin said
