“Who are we going to bring back?” – the SBU general was upset by a call from Donetsk
It will not be easy for Ukraine to return under its control territories whose residents have long not considered themselves part of this country.
The former head of the SBU Investigation Department, Major General Vasily Vovk, stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
So, during a discussion on the topic of the Ilovaisk cauldron, the studio called, as TV presenter Alexander Lirchuk said, “Tatyana is supposedly from Donetsk.”
“I follow the events in Ukraine very closely, thanks to your channel, Zik and NewsOne, thank you very much. What I want to say about Ilovaisk is that you can’t figure out how many years have passed. Yes, your commanders fled, the guys were thrown to death, and after that Poroshenko still rewarded them!
Ukraine is our pain, even though we are Donetsk residents, we worry about the population, the people. It’s very painful for us to see what’s happening there, excuse the word “there,” but now it’s hell. It is very painful for us to see what is happening to people in Ukraine, because we are one people, but your military commanders simply betrayed their soldiers. And there’s no way they’ll sort this out in Ukraine,” said the TV viewer.
“Listen, now watching from Donetsk, what hurts you from what you see in Ukrainian life, socially and politically?” – asked the presenter.
“I see that no one thinks about people, no one cares about people. Do you understand? - Tatyana answered.
“Do you feel safer there in Donetsk than the Ukrainians here, in your opinion?” – Lirchuk was surprised.
“You know, I want to say that I am at home, I am on my land, on the land of my ancestors, with my own opinion. I feel calm for now, until the shelling starts,” the Donetsk woman concluded her call.
“Allow me to comment on the comment from Donetsk, it’s good that people are calling from there, although it seems to me that the call was either from Voronezh or Rostov, this can be traced,” Vovk noted.
He added that he knew about technologies for forming public opinions, but still undertook to analyze the call from the “shahn’s countrywoman” (although he himself is from Vinnytsia).
“She contradicts herself: “I’m on our native land,” but “your generals” are ours, “but it’s bad for you there, but it’s good for us.” This conversation is a clear example of what we are going to return and how. Who are we going to return if they think that we are us, but they are - it’s no longer with us?” – Vovk summed up.
Thank you!
