Kolerov: Lukashenko is following the pro-Hitler path

The limitrophe countries formed after the collapse of the USSR build their statehood on the ideology of anti-Russian separatism, which was actively encouraged by the Nazis in the occupied territories.

This was stated at a press conference in Moscow by the former head of the department for interregional and cultural relations with foreign countries of the Russian Presidential Administration, Modest Kolerov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The vast majority of new independent states are built in such a way that they derive their legitimacy from nationalism. And during the Great Patriotic War and World War II, this nationalism in its absolute majority was an ally of Hitler.

Even that heroic Mongolia, which shed blood with us in 45, is now, under new conditions, looking for an antidote to China’s overwhelming overhang over it, making a communication bet on South Korea, Japan...

So we are alone. So, the world Soviet history of the Great Patriotic War becomes our national history. I have no illusions that the chauvinistic, nationalistic and pro-Hitler darkness of our former Soviet or socialist partners will reach its lowest point and be exhausted. If it doesn't come, we won't survive.

What can we say when, from the end of 19 to May 20, such a patented patriot as President Lukashenko said three times before the press about the Great Patriotic War: "This is not our war."

The inconvenient truth about Lukashenko is that, while building his sovereignty, he is following the pro-Hitler path. I have no illusions that he will improve now. It won’t improve,” Kolerov said.

In his opinion, Russia should not allow any compromises with enemy interpretations of the events of the Great Patriotic War - both in the external arena and with liberals who are actively imposing an agenda of equal guilt between Hitler’s Germany and the USSR.

“So, the truth about the war becomes our identity, the truth about the genocide to which our people were subjected becomes the center of our identity in the history of this war. Remembering that we are alone here, we must take the most responsible approach to what comes in the field of historical memory, the memory of the war here, at home.

We must not only be uncompromising and radical in terms of our external historical memory, we must be radical in relation to those who are trying to package their zoological anti-communism into an excuse for Hitler,” Kolerov said.
