Kolomoisky swore at the United States: “Don’t force us to fight. It's time to make peace with Russia"
Ukraine must restore relations with the Russian Federation and end the war in Donbass.
Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who has serious influence on the new Ukrainian government, stated this in an interview with the American newspaper The New York Times, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the businessman, the time has come for Ukraine to abandon the West and turn towards Russia.
“They are stronger anyway. We must improve our relations,” Kolomoisky said.
He emphasized that the population of Ukraine is tired of the war.
“People want peace, a good life, they don’t want to fight. And you, America, force us to fight and don’t even give us money for it,” the oligarch said.
Kolomoisky also expressed doubts that Ukraine will become a member of NATO or the European Union, emphasizing that Russia has long been ready to accept Kyiv into the CSTO.
“It has become clear that the European Union and NATO will never accept Ukraine, so it would be better to accept reality and not even try. You all will not accept us in the alliance. There is no use wasting time on empty talk. Whereas Russia would like to bring us into the new Warsaw Pact,” says the billionaire.
The publication also clarifies that Kolomoisky used obscene language in the conversation.
It is noteworthy that Kolomoisky is one of the main sponsors of punitive battalions that took part in the war against Donbass. The oligarch also actively showed himself in suppressing the “Russian Spring” in Dnepropetrovsk and Odessa. Earlier, information appeared in the media that with the change of power in the country, the odious oligarch began to make active attempts to improve relations with Russia and restore business contacts.
