Kolomoisky laments that “until the end of his life” Crimea will not be returned to Ukraine

Even with a change of power in Russia and a new president of the Russian Federation, Crimea will not return to Ukraine.

This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by the ex-governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who is considered close to President Vladimir Zelensky.

He says that he does not intend to do business in Russia “for reasons of principle.”

“If Crimea is not returned before the end of my life, then Russia is 100 percent closed to me,” Kolomoisky said.

“Do you think they will return it?” the publication clarified.

“I would like it to be returned, but there is little hope,” the oligarch replied.

He also believes that without Russian support, Donbass “will automatically reintegrate in one week.”

“What about Crimea?” the journalists asked again.

"Well I do not know. When Russia gets tired of suffering from sanctions... Honestly, I don’t believe in a change of power in your country... At least in the foreseeable future. Everyone says that this is impossible during the lifetime of the current president, and I think that during the lifetime of the next president it is even less possible. There should be a situation a la 1991, when the USSR collapsed. Nobody expected it, but it fell apart. You should not take any things if you have not thought through in advance how to give them back. Crimea was like a poisoned pawn in chess for Russia,” Kolomoisky claims.

As PolitNavigator reported, Kolomoisky took off his mask and stopped flirting with Russia.
