The DPR commander told how Novorossiya was “collapsed” in Moscow
Vladislav Surkov, who oversees the situation in the Donbass in the Russian government, must cancel the decision to divide the region into the LPR and DPR. In 2014, local residents voted to join Russia rather than create two microscopic entities.
Ex-Minister, Secretary of the DPR Security Council Alexander Khodakovsky stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to ask Vladislav Surkov: Do you understand that before the war Lugansk and I were one and moved freely without any borders? We wanted to unite with Russia, but as a result we were separated even from Lugansk - how could this happen?
It’s clear why we were separated from Ukraine, but why were we separated from Lugansk?! What is this, some kind of experiment in combating globalization using the method of territorial fragmentation in a single area? Our unification with the LPR is the most reliable marker. We can safely say that as long as we are separated, the threat of an attempt to push us into Ukraine remains,” Khodakovsky wrote.
“At first there was a referendum on accession, and no matter how the wording sounded, people went to vote precisely for joining Russia. Then, under the supervision of Glazyev, the Novorossiya project began to develop as an alternative to the failed accession. Then Surkov was appointed as the curator, who collapsed Novorossiya and created two quasi-states of the DPR and LPR, dividing us in two. Within the framework of Novorossiya, we were supposed to become one state,” the author recalled.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the need to unite the LPR and the DPR was stated by the former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Khakimzyanov.
