Fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky claims that US President Joe Biden's team followed his advice in negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He stated this in an interview with the Russian liberal TV channel Dozhd, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My position before this meeting was: guys, if you have the opportunity to say something, backed by serious incentives, then say it. If you don’t have the opportunity to back up your red line with serious incentives, it’s better not to ask this question, because this is a position of weakness. It seemed to me that those people who prepared Biden for this meeting accepted this approach for themselves. What's the point of telling a bandit: stop being a bandit. If you can somehow counteract this by force, it makes sense to talk about it,” Khodakovsky said.
According to him, Vladimir Putin was afraid of Biden’s threats to launch a cyber attack on Russia.
