The only solution to the dispute between Russia and Ukraine regarding Crimea is granting independence to the peninsula.
The former head of the Ukrainian bureau of Interpol, Kirill Kulikov, stated this on air on the Kiev TV channel “Nash,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is impossible to return “Crimea is ours” in this way, Russian Crimea is illegal. Today I would think about this Aksyonov (not the Aksyonov who leads Crimea today, but the writer Aksyonov who wrote “The Island of Crimea”) - what today could be the independent state of Crimea. So that the intensity of this hatred between Russia and Ukraine will temporarily go away. But the majority of Russians are already there,” Kulikov admitted.
“And here a large number of problems and questions arise, why, if Crimea can be independent, autonomous, why can’t Donbass, then Kharkov,” the presenter noted.
“Ukraine is such a country (and we see this) where I would leave three federal state taxes: on the army, on international activities and a single monetary unit, I would make some kind of national background, and I would give everything else to the regions,” said the former - Interpol employee.
As PolitNavigator reported, in June, the FSB detained the authors of the Telegram channel “Sovereign Crimea”.
