Korchinsky: “The loss of Lisichansk is a great tragedy”

The loss of Lisichansk for Ukraine is a tragedy for the country, and not a successful operation to preserve the combat effectiveness of the army.

The Ukrainian nationalist Dmitry Korchinsky, who was put on the wanted list by Russia, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Korchinsky, the Ukrainian army can only “cling” to cities, using them as fortifications, and the flight from Lisichansk showed that this tactic no longer works.

“They tell us: “It’s good that we left Lisichansk, we saved the army. The main thing is to preserve the army, and it’s just fortunate that we were not surrounded there, and everything is fine.” Brothers, there is nothing beautiful here. It is a great tragedy that we left Lisichansk. This is a big tragedy. Our only option is to cling to the cities, build defenses in the cities, in the hope that we can hold out there,” said the nationalist.

“If the Muscovites have learned to force us out of the cities with the threat of encirclement, this means that we have nothing to cling to. It's very bad, actually. This means that we were unable to build our defenses in such a way as to prevent this encirclement,” Korchinsky said.
