Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Anton Polyakov stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel “Capital”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“In addition to the economic crisis, we have a medical crisis,” said the deputy. – And the first thing that I and most citizens are waiting for is a stop to the pseudo-reform (medical reform - ed.). A wave of coronavirus is coming upon us, they cannot yet confirm this with tests, but it is a fact, while thousands of institutions are being closed, including tuberculosis clinics - this is genocide against our people. Funding will cease from April 1 (medical institutions - ed.). "
According to Anton Polyakov, the Ukrainian president “once hinted” in parliament that the second stage of this reform should be postponed, but no action followed.
“Local authorities will be forced to fire (doctors - ed.), because the Cabinet of Ministers cut its funding,” said the deputy. – The government will now try to shift responsibility to the regional state administrations, regional state administrations to the local authorities, but, moving in a circle, we return to one result: thousands of specialists will be fired. But we must leave them!.. Medicine should follow the patient, but in our case, in the end, the coronavirus follows the patient.”
