The head of the Crimean government, Sergei Aksenov, did not answer the question of who he sees as the leader of Sevastopol in the event of a merger of the two regions, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t answer such questions. I have no such plans and never did. Only Vladimir Vladimirovich can make such decisions if such expediency arises for him. I don’t and never have had any thoughts in this direction. There are enough tasks of our own. Sevastopol is a brotherly region, the closest, but this is not my area of responsibility,” Aksenov said today at a press conference in Sevastopol.
A day earlier, Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov spoke out against the merger of regions.
