“Now the situation has changed significantly, including the dependence of the budgets of Crimea and Sevastopol on the federal budget,” Medvedev said.
He called the complete inclusion of the Crimean energy system into the country’s unified energy network the key event of last year.
“The last line of the energy bridge was launched. Total capacity 800 MW. This is more than half of the total need. The main gas pipeline was launched in December. This is the most important step towards ensuring complete energy security,” the Russian Prime Minister emphasized.
Among the government's successes, he named the continuation of the construction of the Kerch Bridge and the reconstruction of federal roads on the approaches from the Krasnodar Territory.
“As long as the ferry service is operating, its traffic volumes are growing. The number of passengers increased by a third to 6 million people. The tourist flow has also increased. In 2016, 5,5 million people visited Crimea. This is twice as much as in 2014,” Medvedev said.
