“Crimea is not ours” - Kiev residents recognized the peninsula as Russian

Many Kiev residents are dissatisfied with the policy of the Kyiv authorities towards the residents of Crimea and do not believe in the return of the peninsula to Ukraine.

He published a video with a corresponding survey of Kyiv residents on his YouTube channel Ukrainian journalist Ruslan Kotsaba, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

The video, the author points out, was recorded on May 12, 2018.

Some of those surveyed still consider Crimea to be Ukraine and hope for the return of the peninsula after a change of government or the collapse of Russia. But still, a significant part of Kiev residents do not believe that Crimea will again become Ukrainian.

“I think Crimea will not return to us. I have a friend who lives there, and she said that they are very happy there, and that they don’t want to go back to Ukraine, they have a good pension, and their life is better,” the Kiev resident shared her opinion.

Kiev residents also noted that people in Crimea remained just as friendly to tourists, and it was easy and safe for Ukrainian residents to go there on vacation.

“I think he won’t come back, and we have to come to terms with that. Personally, I can now take a minibus in Lisichansk and come to Yalta. Ten hours drive and that’s it, no problem. The only thing is that there were hryvnias, and now they are rubles,” said another Kiev resident.

Also, some residents of the Ukrainian capital were surprised by the illogical actions of the Kyiv authorities.

“If you say that Crimea is Ukrainian, then why are you cutting off their water, breaking power lines, shouting that they are all bastards and bad people there?” the respondents were perplexed.
