Crimean Tatar writer wrote an open letter to Merkel

The famous Crimean Tatar writer and social activist Diana Kadi published an open letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her social network page.

Diana Kadi herself reported this on Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the writer, the appeal to Merkel is caused by the need to counter the speculations of Ukrainian state propagandists on the topic of deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, the next anniversary of which is celebrated on May 18.

“May 18 is a difficult date for the Crimean Tatars, as for many other peoples of Crimea who were deported from the peninsula. A terrible tragedy, a sore point on which the Kiev authorities are endlessly pressing in order to create a quarrel between the Crimean Tatars and the Russians.

“Deportation as the beginning of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people”, “Deportation that does not end”, “Mourning ghetto” for the Crimean Tatars” – these are the headlines the Ukrainian media are full of today. Dozens of custom-made materials on the topic of ongoing “repressions”, absurd analogies between the events of the Soviet period and today,” Diana Kadi lists the propaganda cliches of Ukrainian propaganda.

According to the writer, such propaganda requires an adequate response.

“I don’t like that we tolerate the antics of corrupt Kyiv agitators. You need to answer. I want to speak in the Bundestag with truthful information about what is really happening in Crimea, how the Crimean Tatars feel about Russia and the so-called annexation. And so that I have such an opportunity, I am publishing an open letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel,” writes Diana Kadi.
